After a tree has been removed, an unsightly stump is left behind. A chainsaw can only cut so low, after all. You might have one or more of these eyesores on your property, and you’re ready to get rid of it, so that you can use that space for something else. We perform stump grinding in Temecula and surrounding areas, especially for this purpose.
Why stump grinding? Stump grinding is the most efficient method of dealing with leftover tree stumps. A stump grinder is a machine with a rotating cutting disc, that chips away at the wood and grinds it into small chips. After the stump is removed, you can reseed the area with grass or plant something else in that location.
We currently have two machines that we use for stump grinding in Temecula.
Our Vermeer SC552 is the larger machine, designed to remove the leftover remains of larger trees. It is designed to maneuver through difficult jobsite conditions, and allows for quick and efficient removal of challenging stumps. The Vermeer SC552 can achieve cutting heights of up to 31 inches above ground, and down to 25 inches below grade. The wide front-mounted chip blade allows us to also remove all wood chips from the location, leaving it smooth and clean, like nothing was ever there!
We use our smaller machine, the Vermeer SC30TX, to access most backyards. The compact design offers intuitive controls and minimal service points. It gets the job done efficiently and safely. But don’t be fooled by its smaller size; this machine is tough – and can be dangerous for the inexperienced operator. We always recommend that homeowners seek expert stump grinding services, because even a “small job” can be hazardous.
